Naveen India School of Media conducts Career counseling seminar at NM Composite PU College Bidi, Bidi, Khanapur Taluk, Belagavi
Tue Jan 3, 2023
The students of Bidi’s PU and Degree College were delighted by a detailed discussion on Career options and guidance on Digital Marketing & Online job options, delivered to them by NaveenIndia School of Media (www.NaveenIndia.org) at their College premise in Bidi this Tuesday.
Speaking at the seminar, NISM’s promoter Ms. Poornima Jagtap, painted a very emotional picture on how such skills can help girls & women become self-reliant and prepare for hardships that can strike in anybody’s life. “Skills like graphics designing, online marketing & copywriting are in high demand and such jobs can be executed from anywhere”, advised Dr. V.C Sindagi, the Headmaster of the school, whose students from the 10th standard also participated.
The program was spearheaded by Smt. Dhanashree Sirdesai Jambotikar, Social worker. Encouraging them to explore & learn from such Career counseling opportunities, the chairman of the educational institution Shri M.M Bidikar motivated the students. He highlighted the fact that just academics do not help and every individual should be equipped with additional skills that harness their true potential. “This is the beauty of the soon-to-be implemented New Education Policy” he said.
As usual, youngsters adopting Digital media to earn money was the topic that drew a lot of attention from the students. Mr Naveen Udoshi, the Educational mentor & Digital marketing expert shared his experience on how small towns and students from rural areas are truly at a disadvantage and their Skill development App “NaveenIndia.org” is trying to bridge this gap.
Invest 100 hours to develop a new skill and see how it transforms your lives,” he challenged the youngsters. “Students, especially the B.A / B.Com degree holders struggle very hard to land jobs, leave alone well paying ones. They have to then supplement their incomes by doing odd jobs - in far off locations, which depletes the villages. Our organization is connecting with Corporates to facilitate them with programs like “Adopt-a-Village” or “Hire-Rural” that promotes Skill development and creating employment at rural levels” he added.
The Media School is run by Agastya Foundation, conducts skill development training for deserving youth & fresh graduates to better their employment prospects. Most of these trainings have been digitized to enable farther reach. This is a sample of trade-skills content for Interviewing Tips | Resume making | Entry-level Gulf Jobs: https://bit.ly/GulfLife
